Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. has announced its recent pricing for 2020. The local Honda car lineup gets varying price changes for the new year, and those who have been eyeing to buy the marque’s most-affordable model will be delighted with the price update.
Posted over at HCPI’s official website, the price tag for the Honda Brio has decreased by P7,000, albeit, for the RS and RS Black Top variants only. With the price decrease, the Brio RS CVT variant goes down from P737,000 to P730,000, while the Brio RS Black Top CVT dips from P742,000 to P735,000.
Interestingly, the Honda HR-V’s price ncreases by P13,000 for 2020. While the base HR-V E variant retains its P1,295,000 price tag, the top-spec HR-V RS Navi CVT increases from P1,495,000 to P1,508,000.
Another price increase for 2020 would be for the coveted Civic Type R, which got a whopping P200,000 price difference from its former price tag of P2,980,000. With this increase, the remaining units of the hot hatchback in dealerships sell for P3,180,000. HCPI has yet to release a statement about a new batch of Civic Type R, which should presumably feature the facelifted model that was released at this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon.
The good news is, all other Honda models in the lineup retain their price tags for the New Year.
Price changes at the start of the year aren’t surprising at all. To recall, Nissan and Toyota have led the charge in updating their prices in January. Expect more price updates in the weeks to come. We’ll make sure to be on top of these changes as they happen.
